We pause our Colossians collection for an important conversation in our still-forming church. Who is leading us (humanly speaking)? What makes someone a leader? What should we expect from our leaders? There's never been a leader or lover of people like Jesus, and local church leaders always take their cues from him.
After rediscovering his faith in college, Garrett began full-time service to the local church in 2012. For six years he worked with Watermark Community Church’s young adult’s ministry called The Porch, before moving to New York City to start Mission City Church in 2019. Garrett holds doctoral and master’s degrees in Christian education from accredited seminaries. He and his wife Gabi live in Brooklyn with their two daughters. Garrett also serves as a member of Mission City’s elder team.
