What do salt and light have to do with each other? What do they have to do with us? Out of these two familiar objects, Jesus created a metaphor for the church that has stood the test of time.
After rediscovering his faith in college, Garrett began full-time service to the local church in 2012. For six years he worked with Watermark Community Church’s young adult’s ministry called The Porch, before moving to New York City to start Mission City Church in 2019. Garrett holds doctoral and master’s degrees in Christian education from accredited seminaries. He and his wife Gabi live in Brooklyn with their two daughters. Garrett also serves as a member of Mission City’s elder team.
